Providing aid and support to survivors of the Harlem Gas Explosion, New York

On March 12, 2014, a powerful gas explosion occurred in Harlem, Manhattan, New York, causing at least 8 deaths and injuring at least 74 people. Two apartment buildings collapsed within seconds and the police had to evacuate around 300 people from the affected buildings and four of its adjacent buildings. The New York Fire Department sent 250 firefighters to help with aid and rescue.Read more...
