Educational Services, Tzu Chi Foundation, U.S.A. has an immediate opening for Bilingual Substitute Teacher. The Bilingual Substitute Teacher is responsible for promoting Tzu Chi’s educational mission. Must have the ability to communicate orally and in writing with knowledge of Microsoft Office. Bilingual in Chinese and English will be a plus. And also be able to work on weekends to fulfill position duties. In addition, reliable transportation with an acceptable driving record and a valid related requirement license is needed. Must pass the Department of Justice background check.

Job Description:
1) Implement Chinese Program Curriculum
2) Maintain state licensing regulations
3) Maintain all necessary documents and observations
4) Work closely with the English Program teachers
5) Establish proper and professional communication with other staff members and parents.
6) Follow lesson plans and curriculum activities scheduled.
7) Maintain proper age appropriate interaction with children at all times.
8) Teacher credential or permit for preschoolers preferred
Job requirements:
- Education: Degree in Education or related field.
- Experience: Have some educational background in early childhood development
Skills needed:
- Strong leadership, management and organizational skills.
- The ability to select, develop and motivate staff and create a positive work environment.
- The ability to resolve problems quickly and effective and determining appropriate courses of action.
- Must be flexible and have well developed interpersonal skills.
- Ability to quickly learn the use of new software applications and technologies.
